Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Help for readers, founders, brands, and communications teams.

How do I submit a story or startup announcement?

Email [email protected] with a clear subject, a concise summary, relevant facts, supporting documents, and a contact person. Include launch dates, funding details, or other information relevant to your pitch.

Submissions are assessed for editorial relevance. Sending a pitch does not guarantee publication.

How do I request a correction?

Email [email protected] with the article URL, the specific information you believe is inaccurate, and supporting evidence. Brands may flag factual or technical errors; editorial opinions and conclusions remain under TechLayers’ control.

Can I propose an interview or contribute expert commentary?

Send your proposal to [email protected]. Include the proposed topic, the expert’s background, why the subject is relevant to readers, and any availability or timing details. Editorial consideration does not guarantee coverage.

Does TechLayers accept complimentary review samples?

Yes. TechLayers may accept relevant products from brands and authorized representatives after prior editorial approval. Accepted review samples are fully tested, non-returnable, and subject to written acceptance and agreed ownership-transfer terms.

Will review products be returned or resold?

No. Accepted review units supplied under an agreed non-returnable arrangement are retained internally for continued testing, reference, comparison, and authorized team use.

Employees, editors, reviewers, contributors, and other team members may not sell, resell, trade, or commercially redistribute these products. This program does not accept temporary return-after-review arrangements.

Does providing a sample guarantee coverage or a positive review?

No. A sample does not guarantee publication, a publication date, a rating, a recommendation, or favorable coverage. TechLayers retains control over testing, findings, wording, and publication decisions. Material relationships, including complimentary samples, should be disclosed to readers.

What should I do before shipping a review product?

Contact [email protected] with the brand, exact model, specifications, and launch information. Obtain written acceptance confirming the non-returnable arrangement, ownership-transfer terms, internal retention, and strict no-resale policy before dispatch.

Agree on shipping costs and responsibilities, then share courier tracking and sender contact details. Brands must comply with applicable courier, customs, and transport requirements. Unsolicited shipments do not automatically establish a review agreement or transfer ownership.

What advertising opportunities are available?

Potential formats include display placements, clearly labeled sponsored articles, brand campaigns, ecosystem partnerships, and newsletter sponsorships where inventory is available. Placement, pricing, scope, and deliverables are agreed individually.

Visit our advertising page or email [email protected] with your objectives, preferred formats, and campaign dates.

Can advertisers influence independent reporting?

Advertising does not guarantee favorable editorial coverage or influence independent news reporting. Paid promotional content must be clearly identified as sponsored, advertising, or paid partnership content, as appropriate.

How do I report a website bug or error?

Email [email protected] with the affected page URL, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and the steps needed to reproduce the issue. Include your device, browser version, and the date and time with your time zone.

If available, include the exact error message and a screenshot with personal information removed. Never send passwords, account credentials, cookies, or other sensitive information.

Why is the website loading slowly?

Slow loading can have several causes, including connection problems, browser data, or temporary website issues. Refresh the page, check whether other websites load normally, and try another browser or network if available.

If the problem continues, email [email protected] with the page URL, approximate loading time, device, browser, and when the problem occurred. These steps do not confirm the cause of the slowdown.

What should I do if a page, link, or feature is not working?

Refresh the page and try opening it in an updated browser. If a feature remains unresponsive, note which button, link, image, or other element is affected and whether the issue happens on other pages.

Report it to [email protected] with the page URL and steps to reproduce the problem. For a broken link, include both the page containing the link and its destination, if known.

What should I do if I see an error message?

Record the exact message or error code, the page URL, and when it appeared. A “404” usually means the requested page could not be found; “500”, “502”, “503”, or “504” errors can indicate server or upstream service problems.

Try again after a short wait. If the error continues, email [email protected] with these details and a screenshot if helpful. Remove personal information before sharing.

What if the website is not working or the server is not responding?

Check your internet connection and confirm that you are visiting https://techlayers.in/. Try another browser or network if available. If other websites work but TechLayers does not open, wait briefly and try again.

Report persistent timeouts, connection failures, or server errors to [email protected]. Include the error message, your device and browser, and the date and time with your time zone. This Help Center does not provide live server status or a guaranteed restoration time.

What is TechLayers, and who operates it?

TechLayers is a digital technology news and intelligence publication covering startups, artificial intelligence, venture capital, consumer technology, and global innovation. It operates under IndyaStory, founded in 2020 by Prosenjit Barman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

How quickly will I receive a response?

TechLayers reviews relevant inquiries but cannot guarantee a response to every message or a specific response time. Include a clear subject and all relevant details to help the team assess your request.

What does a 400 Bad Request error mean?

The server could not process the request. Check the page address and reload. If it continues, try a private browsing window. Report the URL and exact error to [email protected].

Why am I seeing 401 Unauthorized or 403 Forbidden?

A 401 response usually indicates missing or invalid authentication; a 403 means access is refused. Check that you are using the correct public page URL. Do not try to bypass access restrictions. If a public article is affected, report its URL and the error code.

What does a 404 Page Not Found error mean?

The address may be incorrect, or the page may have moved or been removed. Check the URL, visit the TechLayers homepage, and look for the article there. Report broken links with both the referring page and the missing destination.

What does a 408 Request Timeout error mean?

The server did not receive the complete request within the allowed time. Check your connection and retry. If this happens repeatedly, report the page URL, time, browser, and error code.

Why am I seeing 429 Too Many Requests?

The site or an upstream service is limiting requests. Stop repeatedly refreshing and wait before trying again. Follow any retry instructions shown. If ordinary browsing remains affected, contact support with the details.

What does a 500 Internal Server Error mean?

The server encountered an unexpected problem. Reload once after a short wait. If the error persists, report the page URL, exact message, and time with your time zone. A 500 message alone does not identify the underlying cause.

What does a 502 Bad Gateway error mean?

A gateway or proxy received an invalid response from an upstream server. Wait briefly and retry. If the issue continues, send support the URL, time, and any request or reference ID displayed on the error page.

What does a 503 Service Unavailable error mean?

The server is temporarily unable to handle the request, possibly because of overload or maintenance. Follow any Retry-After instructions and try later. This Help Center does not confirm that maintenance is occurring or provide a restoration estimate.

What does a 504 Gateway Timeout error mean?

A gateway or proxy did not receive a timely response from an upstream server. Wait briefly and try again. Report recurring errors with the affected URL and time. Changing your browser may not resolve a server-side timeout.

What do error codes 520, 521, 522, 523, or 524 mean?

Some proxy and CDN providers use these codes for origin-server response, connection, reachability, or timeout problems. Their exact meaning depends on the provider. Record the full message, reference ID, URL, and time, then contact support. These codes do not establish which infrastructure TechLayers uses.

Why does my browser say DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN or server not found?

The browser could not resolve the domain name. Check that the address is https://techlayers.in/ and confirm that other websites open. Try another network if available. If the problem persists, report the exact browser message and when it occurred.

What should I do about ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT or ERR_CONNECTION_RESET?

These messages indicate that a connection timed out or was interrupted. Check your internet connection and retry once. Compare another website or network to help identify the scope. Report repeated failures with the URL and exact message.

What if the browser shows a certificate, SSL, or connection-not-private warning?

Do not bypass the warning or enter sensitive information. Confirm the website address and your device date and time. If the warning persists, contact [email protected] with the exact error text and affected URL.

Why is the page blank or stuck on a loading screen?

Reload once and try an updated browser or private window. A script, extension, browser setting, or website issue may be involved. If you test extensions, change one setting at a time and restore it afterward. Report the page URL and whether any content appears.

Why are images, icons, videos, or fonts not loading?

Check your connection and refresh the page. Browser restrictions or blocked third-party resources can affect media. Report the article URL, which media is missing, and any displayed message. Include a screenshot if helpful, with private information removed.

Why are buttons, menus, or links not responding?

Try reloading and opening the page in an updated browser. Note the specific control and expected action. If it still fails, report the page URL, device, browser, and exact steps. Include whether keyboard navigation works.

Why is the page layout broken on my phone or tablet?

Try refreshing, returning browser zoom to its default, and rotating the device. Report overlapping text, cut-off content, horizontal scrolling, or menus that are hard to use. Include your device model, browser, orientation, and a screenshot if possible.

Why does the website keep redirecting or show ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS?

Check that you opened the correct address. Try a private browsing window. If needed, clear site data for TechLayers only; this can reset preferences or sign you out if a session exists. Report the starting URL and the redirect error if it continues.

Should I clear my browser cache and cookies?

Try a refresh or private browsing window first. If the issue appears browser-specific, clearing stored data for TechLayers may help. Browser menus vary. Clearing site data can reset preferences or sessions; it does not fix all website or server problems.

Does this Help Center search the entire TechLayers website?

No. This search filters the Help Center questions and answers on this page. Use keywords such as slow loading, 404, review sample, correction, or advertising. Select All topics to search every FAQ. It does not search published news articles.

What if Help Center search returns no results?

Try a shorter keyword, an error code, or a different phrase. Select All topics to remove a category restriction. Common spelling variants are supported, but not every typo can be recognized. If you still cannot find an answer, email [email protected].

Why does the search or topic filter not appear?

The interactive search and topic buttons require JavaScript. If JavaScript is unavailable or blocked, you can still read and expand the FAQ questions. When embedding this page in a website builder, ensure its permitted script-loading method is used.

What if an advertisement covers content or appears broken?

Report the affected URL, device, approximate time, and a screenshot with personal information removed. Describe whether the placement blocks reading or navigation. Avoid interacting with an advertisement that appears suspicious.

How do I report a suspicious popup, redirect, or download?

Close the suspicious prompt and do not provide credentials or install software. Email [email protected] with the page URL, time, and a description. Avoid forwarding sensitive data or opening suspicious attachments to investigate.

Can I check whether TechLayers is currently down?

This page does not monitor uptime or show live server status. Check whether other websites load and whether the issue occurs on another browser or network. Report persistent TechLayers-only failures to [email protected].

What details help the team investigate a technical issue?

Include the page URL, date and time with time zone, device, operating system, browser and version, exact error text, steps to reproduce, and whether the issue happens consistently. Share a screenshot only after removing personal information. Do not send cookies, access tokens, or unredacted network logs.

Can I report an accessibility problem?

Yes. Email [email protected] with the page URL and the barrier you encountered, such as keyboard navigation, screen-reader output, contrast, or text resizing. Include your browser and assistive technology if relevant, plus the task you were trying to complete.

How can I report a security concern privately?

Contact [email protected] with a concise description and affected URL. Avoid including passwords, personal data, or sensitive exploit details in ordinary email. Ask the team how to share sensitive supporting information before sending it.

What topics can I pitch to TechLayers?

Relevant topics include startups, venture capital, artificial intelligence, Big Tech, enterprise software, cybersecurity, fintech, apps, DeepTech, and technology policy. Explain the news value and include supporting sources.

Can I send an embargoed announcement?

Ask the editorial team whether it will accept an embargo before sharing confidential material. Sending a message marked embargoed does not by itself establish an agreement. Specify the proposed release date, time, and time zone.

Does submitting a press release guarantee publication?

No. Press releases and pitches are reviewed for editorial relevance and verification. TechLayers retains control over coverage, timing, wording, and publication decisions.

Can I ask for an article update or clarification?

Email [email protected] with the article URL, the relevant passage, and supporting evidence or new information. Explain whether you are requesting a factual correction, clarification, or follow-up.

Which products can brands propose for review?

Relevant products include smartphones, tablets, laptops, monitors, audio devices, wearables, gaming accessories, smart-home devices, and emerging consumer technology. Acceptance depends on editorial suitability and prior written approval.

Can a brand approve a review before publication?

TechLayers retains control over review wording, findings, ratings, and publication decisions. Brands may provide documentation and flag factual errors, but cannot require changes to independent opinions or conclusions.

Who pays for shipping, customs, and delivery?

Shipping costs and responsibilities must be agreed with TechLayers before dispatch. Brands are responsible for complying with applicable courier, customs, and product-transport requirements. Do not ship until written acceptance is confirmed.

Can I send a loan unit that must be returned?

This review sample program accepts approved products on a non-returnable basis and does not accept temporary return-after-review arrangements. Confirm the ownership-transfer, internal-retention, and no-resale terms in writing before shipping.

How do I request campaign pricing or availability?

Email [email protected] with your organization, campaign objectives, preferred formats, target audience, proposed dates, and any budget guidance. Pricing, inventory, scope, and deliverables are discussed individually.

Are newsletter sponsorships always available?

No. Newsletter opportunities depend on available inventory. Contact [email protected] to discuss availability and campaign details; a mention on this Help Center does not reserve a placement.

Can a paid campaign be presented as an independent review?

No. Paid promotional work must be identified appropriately and must not be misrepresented as independent editorial testing. A commercial arrangement does not purchase a positive editorial conclusion.

Which email address should I use?

Use [email protected] for news tips; [email protected] for corrections, interviews, and review proposals; [email protected] for advertising; and [email protected] for general questions and website issues.

Can I visit the headquarters or deliver a product without arranging it?

Coordinate with the team before arranging a visit or dispatching a product. Review deliveries require prior written acceptance and agreed shipping terms. A published address does not constitute approval for a shipment or appointment.

Can I copy, republish, or commercially reuse an article?

Contact [email protected] with the article URL, intended use, format, and where it would appear. Do not assume that contacting the team or including attribution grants permission to reuse content.

What should I do if I do not receive a reply?

Check that you used the correct email address and included the relevant URL or proposal details. You may follow up with the original context in the same email thread. TechLayers cannot guarantee a response to every inquiry or a particular response time.
